Living the “More” Life
What if “immeasurably more” isn’t just something we ask God for, but a life He invites us to live?
Throughout our journey together, we’ve explored perseverance, purpose, relationships, and the ways God is shaping who we’re becoming. Now it’s time to celebrate where He has brought us and consider what comes next.
Join Immeasurably More on October 1 for Living the “More” Life, a special celebration night centered on what it means to live fully alive in God’s power and purpose.
Drawing from Ephesians 3:20–21 and John 10:10, we’ll hear testimonies, reflect on what God has been doing in our lives, break down the lyrics of a favorite worship song, and welcome special guest Remi Bereola.
Because “more” isn’t necessarily about a bigger life. It’s about a life increasingly surrendered to the One who can do more through us than we could imagine.

One Church. Shared Vision.
The strongest ministry doesn’t happen in isolation. It grows when we listen to one another, share what we’re seeing and work together toward where God is leading us next.
On Saturday, October 31, from 10:00 AM–2:00 PM, SBCC will gather for our Leaders Forum, a time for those serving across the life of our church to connect, coordinate and look ahead together.
The gathering is for elders, deacons, ministry leaders, staff, small group leaders, teachers, ministry initiative teams and anyone interested in exploring one of these roles.
Together, we’ll consider the needs and opportunities before our church, coordinate vision across ministries and begin preliminary planning for the calendar ahead. Just as importantly, we’ll have space to listen to one another, offer support and remember that none of us serves alone.
Our hope is that you leave with greater clarity, encouragement and momentum, along with a stronger sense of how your ministry connects with the larger work God is doing through SBCC.
This is part of how we Grow Together so that we can serve with greater focus and intentionality.

Life B’ Lifin: But We Are Overcomers
Sometimes life asks more of us than we realize we’ve been carrying.
We care for families. We show up for friends. We handle responsibilities, navigate changes, solve problems, keep moving, and often tell ourselves we’re fine.
But strong women need space to exhale, too.
Women of Grace invites you to Life B’ Lifin: But We Are Overcomers, a special gathering on Saturday, October 10, from 11 AM–2 PM, created to give women space to pause, connect, be encouraged, and be poured into.
Together, we’ll explore what it means to care for the whole woman: physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Through practical insight, faith-centered conversation, shared experiences, and meaningful connection, you’ll have room to reflect on where you are, consider what you need, and grow alongside women navigating their own seasons of life.
This isn’t about having everything figured out. It’s about creating a grace-filled space where we can listen, learn, laugh, encourage one another, deepen our connection with God, and remember that we were never meant to carry life alone.
Whatever season you’re in, there’s room for you here.

More Than a Book Club
Sometimes spiritual growth begins with a conversation.
Sometimes it begins with a story.
The SBCC Book Club is a welcoming community of readers seeking a deeper, more courageous discipleship. Together, we’ll explore Black Joy by Tracey Michae’l Lewis-Giggetts, a powerful collection of essays celebrating resilience, creativity, healing, and the sacred beauty of Black life. Rather than looking away from difficult realities, this book invites us to discover joy as a source of hope, restoration, and faithful witness.
Meeting Wednesdays from July 15 through September 2, 7:00 to 8:30 PM, we’ll gather virtually on Zoom to read, reflect, and engage in honest conversations shaped by grace and curiosity. Whether you’ve been part of a book club before or this is your first time, you’ll find a space where questions are welcome, different perspectives are valued, and everyone can grow together.
Facilitated by Tony DeGruy, Cheryl French, Darlene Green, Sam White, Andrea Smith, and Jackie Cox, each session connects thoughtful reading with Scripture and practical discipleship, helping us better understand God’s heart for justice and how we can faithfully love our neighbors.
Together we’ll connect with God, grow as a community, and discover ways our faith can make a meaningful difference beyond the pages of a book.

Circle of Friends
The Women of the Bible Speak
Some of the most powerful stories in Scripture belong to women whose faith, courage, and obedience helped shape God's redemptive story. Yet many of us know only a small part of their journeys.
Beginning Monday, September 7, 2026, The Women of the Bible Speak meets every Monday evening from 7:00 PM to approximately 8:45-9:00 PM through June 7, 2027 on Zoom.
Together we'll explore the lives of sixteen women of the Bible, studying them in carefully chosen pairs that reveal fresh connections, deeper meaning, and timeless wisdom.
As we examine the hope of Hannah, the courage of Esther, the audacity of Rahab, the faith of Mary, and many others, we'll discover lessons that continue to shape our own lives today. Their stories remind us that God calls ordinary people, works through every season of life, and equips His people to influence others for His kingdom.
Whether you've studied the Bible for years or are just beginning your journey, this class offers a welcoming place to ask questions, reflect together, and grow in faith alongside others. As we connect with God and grow together, we'll gain a richer understanding of Scripture and the ways God continues to work through His people today.

Sunday After Service
Let’s be honest—sometimes a sermon sparks something deep in your heart… and you’re left wanting to process it, question it, or just talk it out. That’s exactly what The Glow Up is all about.
This weekly post-service gathering creates space for real-time conversation with Pastor Tammy, Pastor Tony, or our guest speaker. It’s casual, thoughtful, and designed to help you dig deeper into the message you just heard.
Whether you’re new to faith or you’ve been walking with God for years, we believe there’s something powerful that happens when we take time to reflect together. The Glow Up gives you an opportunity to:

Safe Parking:
For One Month, We Become Neighbors
Everyone sleeps differently when they know they're safe.
This September, that's the quiet gift South Bay Community Church has the privilege of offering.
Through the City of Fremont's Safe Parking Program, we'll welcome fifteen pre-registered neighbors who are experiencing housing insecurity and living in their vehicles. For one month, our campus will become more than a place to park. It will become a place where people can rest, enjoy a warm meal, receive practical support, and experience the kindness of a community that cares.
Throughout the month, volunteers will prepare dinners, serve Saturday breakfasts, assemble care packages, provide gas cards, share conversation, offer prayer, and create small moments of encouragement that remind our guests they are seen, valued, and not alone.
This ministry beautifully reflects our mission of Changing the World, but it also shapes us in the process. As families, small groups, ministries, and individuals serve side by side, we grow closer to one another while putting our faith into practice in tangible ways.
No one can solve every challenge our neighbors face.
But together, we can help make one month a little safer... and a little lighter.
If you'd like to be part of this month's Safe Parking ministry, there are many ways to serve. Whether you enjoy cooking, serving meals, sponsoring a dinner, or simply showing up with a welcoming smile, there's a place for you.

Make a Difference: Support Our Diaper Donation Drive with Compassion Network
In collaboration with Compassion Network, we are organizing a diaper drive to assist families in need.
As part of a group of churches involved in this project, our success hinges on your support.
You can contribute by assisting with distribution every 3rd Saturday at Fremont Community Church between 9:30 AM and 12 PM. Please register below.

- RE-BLAST - Fremont - Client is seeking a heavy duty wagon to carry approximately 350 lbs.
- RE-BLAST - Union City - Client newly became homeless and living in her car with daughter (6yrs) and client’s sister. Daughter needs tops (girls size L or XL), pants (girls 14), underwear (girls L), shoes (size 2), socks. Also in need: woman’s underwear (XL) and woman’s socks for a shoe size 10).

- NEW - Newark - Wheel chair bound older man with severe mobility issues is seeking a one-time deep cleaning of his one bedroom apartment. Would include thorough cleaning, organizing, decluttering, and throwing away trash. Cannot afford cleaning supplies. Found a program for ongoing light housekeeping after the deep clean is done. Great opportunity for small group.
- NEW - Newark - Single mom needs math assistance for her 8th grade daughter.
- RE-BLAST - Fremont - Client with back problems needs some help gathering and bagging some yard weeds; estimates about 4 hrs.

- LAST BLAST - Fremont - Struggling client with health issues, who lives alone, is in need of: pants (38-42), shirts (XL), socks (L), & shoes (10 1/2 - 11).
- LAST BLAST - Fremont - Family with 5 children just relocated needs: couch, 2 8x10 rugs, microwave, dining table with 8 chairs, TV table, 1 king bed, 2 bunk beds, 1 twin bed, sheets/blankets for all beds, lamps, laptop, printer, kitchen shelving unit.
- LAST BLAST - Fremont - Couple with 3yr son just relocated and new job doesn’t start for a while. Family needs basic hygiene products (shampoo, soap, toothpaste, etc.); Clothes: men’s shirts/jacket/underwear (XL), men’s pants 42x32; women’s shirt/pants/underwear (XL), jeans size 22; boys clothes size 5T.

Make a Difference: Volunteer to Cook and Serve at Abode Every Second Saturday!
Join us in extending care and compassion to those in need by participating in our monthly event at Abode. Held every second Saturday, this initiative provides an opportunity to cook and serve meals while fostering a spirit of kindness and community. Your involvement can help bring warmth and hope to those facing challenging times.
Together, we can provide more than just meals—we can offer support, connection, and encouragement to those who need it most.

Discovery Shop is a ministry of South Bay Community Church dedicated to serving individuals and families in need through gently used clothing and basic household items. Rooted in our mission to change the world, this ministry offers a simple yet meaningful way to extend compassion, dignity, and care to our community.
By participating in Discovery Shop, our congregation helps meet real, everyday needs while living out our faith in action. This ministry reminds us that generosity is more than a gesture. It is a response to God’s call to love our neighbors in practical and tangible ways.
There is an ongoing need for winter items, including male and female socks, walking shoes, coats, sweaters, and similar essentials. Donations can be placed in the designated bins located in the church lobby.
Discovery Shop also serves as a resource for those looking to support others they know who are experiencing hardship. Congregants who wish to retrieve items from the shop to share with the underserved are encouraged to connect with Denise Churchill using the contact information available in the Elexio app.
