Rev. Rubin serves as a Minister of the Rountable and organist here at South Bay Community Church, Fremont, California. He resides in Richmond, CA. and started in the gospel music field at the age of 10.
Rev. Rubin has traveled extensively across the World, covering more than 30 states in one year and several countries -- ministering, preaching and playing.
He attended San Francisco City College, Simpson Bible College, American Bible College, and the University of Biblical Studies. He is the author of two works -- The Eternal Interrogative and Parent Abuse. He has lectured at Howard University on Bible Introduction, and has instructed on the Book of Acts, church history, and Jewish history.
Musically, he has served more than 30 years in various churches and community choirs as Minister Of Music, and musician. He also worked with such celebrities as the late James Cleveland, Clarence Clemons, Bruce Springsteen, Grammy award-winning producer Narada Michael Walden, Bobby McFerrin ("Don't Worry, Be Happy"), Jon Bon Jovi, Boz Scaggs, the late Mary Wells (Motown), Angela Bolfield, San Francisco 49ers, B.B.Winans, Robin Williams, Glide Memorial, Tony Bennett, and President Bill Clinton. He has to his credit, keyboard and production work on more than 10 albums, including the San Francisco Inspirational Choir, San Quentin Gospel Choir, as well as over 50 original songs. He is also the owner and CEO of RUBIN PRODUCTIONS and RUBIN RECORDING STUDIO.
For a number of years, Rev. Rubin worked in the San Francisco Unified School District as a teacher in the bi-lingual/ Geography/Civics department, and a Research Specialist. He was a member of the Advisory Board for Jewish-Christian Relations, an instructor at both the Golden Gate Theological Seminary Extension and San Francisco City College, and held the position of Vice President of the Minister Lyceum, California State Baptist Convention.
Rev. Rubin lives his life by faith. It is with the fear of God, Love of Christ, compelling force of the Holy Spirit, commitment to save a dying world, and the joy of salvation that he goes forth, playing music, teaching and preaching the Word of God. rubprod@aol.com
