What about accreditation?
SBCC-ULI has deliberately chosen to operate as a non-accredited training institution. This decision in no way speaks of any desire to ignore traditional academic and ministry standards for its educational programming. Rather, we have chosen not to participate in formal accreditation processes in order to remain available to as many students as possible. While accreditation establishes criteria to ensure educational and professional excellence, it unknowingly eliminates many deserving potential students who, because of lack of funds or poor educational background, are excluded.

Our view is that the call of God, gifting by His Spirit, and practical experience in ministry are the most essential prerequisites for those desiring training for their ministry. We believe it is our responsibility to serve these students through innovative approaches to education. Therefore, we unashamedly make our training available to students who, under traditional circumstances, might never be able to participate in seminary-level instruction. However, our students will find courses that are both stimulating and demanding, along with a faculty of experienced ministers who have earned degrees from outstanding colleges and universities. Nevertheless, some schools do accept our courses for credit toward their degree programs.
