Worship Team Requirements
South Bay Community Church -
A. Training commitment and requirement
1. Complete C.L.A.S.S. 101, 201 and 301
2. Ability to sing/hear on key
3. Attend one workshop/meeting before joining rotation schedule
4. Serve as worship leader for services or special service such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc..
5. Able to lead worship by example, not simply lead congregational singing
6.Able to commit to at least one year
B. Ministry Description
a. Mission Statement
1. To present and lead worship in such a way as to cause and encourage participation, to focus on and appreciate the faithfulness, goodness, awesomeness and great love of GOD the Father and His Son Jesus Christ
b. Duties
1. Prepare for worship through prayer
2. Take turn in rotation
3. Provide choir or coordinator with lyrics of new songs to be learned for Sundays service
4. Provide an example of focused worship to the congregation by going past performance, into worship. In other words WORSHIP by example so that others will follow
5. Contact pianist/organist and Presentation Ministry with list of choruses/hymns for a given key, as well as any other instructions you may need to share. (This should be done as early as Wednesday's BEFORE your scheduled Sunday)
C. Church Membership Required: Yes
D. Minimum Church Involvement Required
1. Regular church attendance
2. Bible study or Sunday school attendance ... some diciplined program for spiritual growth
3. Committed to the following of Jesus Christ and SBCC philosophy
