Grover Clay Jr.
Deacon
Deacon Grover Clay Jr. has been married to Gertrude (Gert) Clay for 39 years. They are blessed with two daughters, Vyvry and Shawndell, and a ten year-old grandson, Elijah. After graduating from high school in Oakland, Grover received an Electrical Engineering degree from San Jose State University. He worked in the Aerospace, Nuclear and Semiconductor industries, retiring last year.
Though a Christian since childhood, Grover feels he began developing a relationship with God when he joined SBCC in 2001. He has participated in several small groups and has held the position of Servant Leader for the Audio Ministry for a few years.
Grover eagerly offers his services whenever needed by his church family. Grover is serving over the San Jose #3 Care Unit as Deacon.
